Rakutsu left the professor's lab with his bag over his shoulder and his hoodie pulled up. Like other kids he was excited to have a pokemon to travel with, but unlike them he was clam and collected at the moment. Most kids would be running around excited that they could leave home and start there traveling. But it not like he wasn't. He just saw no point into screaming his head off about it. Pulling out his phone, he would text both his mom and girlfriend that he was about to leave the town and informed them that he would call after reaching the pokemon center in the next town over.

Most times, the Pokemon native to route 1 would remain on route 1. There was odd times where the wild Pokemon would poke their heads into the town to see what was going on. And the excitement of screaming trainers had one certain Pokemon curious and confused. Waiting in the bush was a Lillipup waiting for the chance to pounce on an trainer and Rakutsu seemed to be the victim. With a small growl a Lillipup appeared out of the brambled bush. Focusing on the trainer it was definitely waiting for a fight.  A level 4 Lillipup wants to fight! Will you run or flee. |

Rakutsu stood at route one before stopping in his tracks to pull out both his pokeballs. Ya that's right both pokeball. With a quick throw he would release both pokemon so they would be standing next to him. Looking down he would see his water starter jumping around with joy and the other had her arms crossed and looking the other way. Oh boy. These two would take a while be use to him. Before he had a chance to introduce himself another pokemon took its chance to introduce itself. Rakutsu normally saw these puppies when playing around as a child. Now it was a chance. The sudden intro of the puppy got both pokemon's attention.
"Oshawhatt that pokemon is looking for a fight. Use tackle."

The little Lillipup was pleased to see their need to battle wasn't going unnoticed. Once the trainer had decided the battling Pokemon it didn't take long for Lillipup to attack. Unfortunately Mijumaru had gotten the first hit, but the Lillipup managed to shake it off and return the tackle back to Mijumaru. The puppy didn't want to give up though and kept up with the battle stance, they were going to battle until the very end and there was no stopping it, glaring at the Espurr from the side lines they knew she was something they definitely wanted to chase. Wild Lillipup: Level 4 Health: 66% (12/18) Status: I need an Oran Berry Successful Tackle. VS

Mijumaru gave a dirty smerk as he saw the damage didn't he did go unnoticed. Despite his own injury, he was able to shrug it off fast enough and stair down the puppy pokemon with his pure black eyes while waitin for a command from his new trainer.
"Use another tackle!"
With a quick nod, he dashed over to the puppy and would throw himself into its side and didn't really care much seeing how it had the advantage. Meanwhile, Espurr was using her tongue to clean the fur on her arm without really caring for the battle that going on in front of her.

From the looks of the battle the 2 Pokemon were just as stubborn as each other. Lillipup had the up hand of out-speeding Mijumaru, though the water type clearly was more powerful in the long run. But this tackle by the Lillipup was a small critical which was enough to leave some decent damage on the otter Pokemon. The puppy wagged their tail in delight as if to mock the tame Pokemon, but it was clear even Lillipup was getting tired as it started to pant. Wild Lillipup: Level 4 Health: 36% (7/18) Status: I'm fine... A critical Tackle. VS

Mijumaru was thrown a few feet in front of the puppy as their attacks collided once more like before. His injuried were not noticeable like the puppy's and staired breathin heavily. He was starting to get tired fast.
Rakutsu saw this and tensed up at the sight. However like always, Espurr didn't seem to care that much. Rakutsu knew that his pokemon was strong, but was much slower then the wild one. If the battle were to go on then he would lose. That wasn't gonna happen.
Taking a empty pokeball from his belt, he would throw it to the puppy in a attempt to capture it.

Lillipup didn't expect to be bopped on the head by the trainer's pokeball. At first the Lillipup thought about breaking out. But this trainer seemed to be strong enough to make them even stronger, maybe one day they would be a Stoutland. It took a few wriggles but the Lillipup had decided to give the trainer a go. Lillipup was caught
Mijumaru gained 1+ level and is now level 6.

The sound of two pairs of applauding hands could be heard, "Wow you did great catching that Lillipup, it was pretty strong but I guess your Oshawott was even stronger than Lillipup expected," a blonde haired girl exclaimed, excitement in her eyes. She looked at her darker haired friend for a moment before returning to Rakutsu, "Me and Cheren are new trainers too, how about a battle? I can heal up your Pokemon afterwards!"Trainer Bianca would like a battle. She sent out Level 5 Tepig. The Tepig yawned as he was released from his ball, smoke leaving his mouth as he yawed before turning to his trainer. "Tep-tepig!" "Of course we are battling them Tepig!" Bianca explained to her Pokemon. |

Rakutsu watched as the ball shook on the ground in front of him with sweat dropping from his forehead. As the click rang through the area, he gave a soft sigh before walking over to the ball and picked it up before placing it in his belt.
Before he even took a step futher, a series of claps got his attention causing him to turn around to see a taller girl run over to him with a guy in glasses next to her.
"Thank you. I'm Rakutsu. A battle? Of course."
Rakutsu gave a motion to Espurr who only gave a deep sigh from her laziness and stepped forward.
"Start off with leer."

"Great! This will be some good practice for both me and you," Bianca blinked as she saw Espurr being sent out to battle, "Woah is that one of the Professors special Pokemon? I can't wait to see how she battles. Tepig use Tail Whip," the blonde commanded her Pokemon as she turned to her friend for support. She seemed newer to the idea of battling than her friend, but really it came down to the Pokemon in play. It seemed like a boring start to a battle, no physical contact just the 2 Pokemon weakening each other's defense stat. Rakutsu had half expected the girl to order an attack on his pokemon for her first turn seeing how he left his pokemon wide open for an attack. What he got in return was the same tactic as he was going for. Rakutsu was glad to see that another starting trainer was smart enough to use other moves other then spamming attacks like crazy.
"She is a Espurr. Native to the Kalos region."
Rakutsu explained the pokemon's origins before going for his next move before the pig did anything.
"Use a scratch."
Espurr seemed to be a bit annoyed from taking orders, but would do it anyway.
